Adjustable Modular Dropouts

Dropout Fitment and Installation Instructions

Before riding, please follow these installation recommendations to ensure proper fit and safety:

• Fitment: RS 181.1 Spectre Edition & RS 181.2 Plaid Edition
• Dropout chainring-style bolts: Torque to 12–15 Nm
• Post mount brake adapter bolts: Torque to 8 Nm
• Threadlocker: Use Blue Loctite 242 on all hardware

Dropout Options

All RS 181 frame sizes come with removable dropouts—a system we’ve been running on our World Cup DH bikes since 2022. It allows you to fine-tune chainstay length and swap between 27.5″ and 29″ rear wheels.

Available configurations:

• 27.5” rear wheels: 435mm, 440mm, 445mm, 450mm, 455mm, 460mm
• 29” rear wheels: 450mm, 455mm, 460mm, 465mm
• Extra mud clearance for 27.5 when opting for 450mm – 460mm
• Extra mud clearance for 29 when opting for 455mm – 465mm

Each frame ships with the recommended dropout length and wheel setup for that size. Additional dropout options are available here aftermarket.
